Business Analysis & Project Management

Since we were involved as both project managers and business analysts, we were heavily involved through entire process from gathering requirements for the project through delivery. Our close partnership with WGU has been key to the success of this project.

User Experience

We initially identified student profiles and working habits, in order to define the purpose and scope of the portal. To ensure that we were creating a system that would be intuitive and effective for students, SolutionStream conducted student focus groups and usability testing with early wireframes and prototypes. We converted the data into a powerful, yet simple, student experience by creating responsive layouts that adapt to any of the many devices used by WGU students to access their online education.

Java Architecture

SolutionStream performed an intensive architectural analysis of the client’s IT infrastructure. Our architects were instrumental in recommending changes and enhancements to the existing systems, which are critical to the business success of WGU. Our team of architects leveraged some of the latest technologies to write new software and to maintain existing WGU projects. We used products from Spring, including Spring Data, Spring Integration, and Spring Web Services which complement Hibernate and Oracle on the data tier. Finally, we we created a compelling UI layer using Mustache, Wicket, Spring MVC, and JQuery.

Java Development

Student needs demand ever-increasing capabilities and updates for mobile apps. This drives us to constantly keep WGU’s technology ahead of the game. Our proven Agile development method provides us with adaptive planning, quick turn-around, and excellent testing to meet the needs of WGU students.
