The original business problem
UVU needed to rebuild its student application to launch for Fall 2021. Goals: usability, student engagement, and relevant, valuable tools for students.

Our approach
Started with a SolutionMap discovery engagement: assessed UVU's existing technology and ran student interviews for UI/UX research. Phase 1 delivered a Student App beta that was released to students. Phase 2 was a dedicated team (a full-time developer, project manager and QA engineer, plus a part-time designer) that then continued as ongoing support.

What we built
- UVU Student App, integrated with campus tools
- Registration, campus map and places, deeper push notifications, emergency and safety information
- Explored next: changing majors and applying for graduation in the app, calendar, an on-campus job board, campus chatbots and digital student IDs
